Hi, I'm Fatima Zare (a.k.a. Fatemeh). I am pursuing a Ph.D. in the field of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Connecticut (UConn). I am currently conducting research in the field of bioinformatics and I work under the supervision of Dr. Sheida Nabavi. My research interests span Theory and Practice with a focus on signal processing and computational biology.

More specifically, my research is mainly focused on the "development of novel computational methods for genomic data analysis and biomedical imaging by employing advanced statistical machine learning and signal/image processing techniques." I hold a bachelor's and a master's degree in electrical and computer engineering as well.

  • Summer Internship at the Jackson Laboratory For Genomic Medicine.
I’m very excited about the opportunity to join “the Jackson Laboratory For Genomic Medicine” for a summer internship. I’m sure that this is going to be a great experience for me, i.e., working with great researchers on very interesting and important subjects! Yay!
